My current favorite drink is a cherry sprite from Sonic. It's really good when they actually put a cherry in it!

Another "new" brownie camera. This one still had all of the original packaging and parts. The box stinks, but it's the first complete brownie that I have!

Someone at work wanted to know if I had any jelly and I said, sure in my junk drawer. To which they resonded - you have a junk drawer? Yes, I do and this is it. It is quite junky compared to the rest of my office space. And for those of you who might know my dad, you'll know that there are times when you can totally tell I am my father's daughter.
01.24.11 - 24/365
This is a plea to all my friends in the world. Please buy this candy. It is so good, but like everything else i am afraid that I am the only person who likes it so it might go away. So please, pick up a pack today. This has been a public service announcement. Thank you.

I knew this was going to be my photo of the day the moment I took it. Ditz and I went to the zoo since it was such a lovely day (mid 60's in January). Well, after paying the $29 admission fee the second exhibit we came to had one of those binocular things with this lovely note. I thought that was why I paid $29.... you know to view the animals more closely. If I pitched in another dollar, could I get in there with them. : )

01.21.11 - 21/365
Let me tell you about this random iPhone shot. See Ditz and I went out to dinner and I did not bring my camera. No big deal, dinner and then home. But instead of going home we went to his mom's house instead. And then we played Uno for a really long time. Before I knew it it was 11:45 pm. We were about a mile from her house when it suddenly dawned on me. I'd taken not one photo and I had no chance of making it home before midnight. So I pulled over, very late at night and took five shots. Had I had one of my other cameras this shot would have been really cool. It was foggy and what not. Oh, well. At least I took a picture.
01.20.11 - 20/365
This is what I'd like to refer to as a fashion statement. I may or may not have been wearing this very lovely Old Navy fleece pull over with my very purple summer skirt. I may have worn it all day. I will neither confirm nor deny.
01.19.11 - 19/365
I was walking by my mirror on the way to take a picture of something else when I decided to snap this shot. Funny it's my favorite of the day.
01.18.11 - 18/365
Another office birthday. Girl office birthday's equals flowers. I had really bad lighting and don't love this at all, but it's a photo..... : )
01.17.11 - 17/365
One of these things doesn't fit together, one of these things just isn't the same....yeah, I went all Sesame Street on you. Just the current book I am reading mixed in with some of my cookbooks for dramatic effect. : )
01.16.10 - 16/365
Just a little something around the house. I hate cold and rainy days, they leave you to find something good to shoot inside.

01.15.10 - 15/365
This shot was taken seriously late at night as I was laying in bed and I remember that I needed to take a photo. I put my magazine down and picked up my camera. And voila, a photo of the day.

Other Brownie Shots
01.14.10 - 14/365
And finally, my last new brownie camera! This one is really cool because it actually came with the original box for the flash and the owner's manual and all of the accessories. Plus, I got it for a steal of a deal. Took this shot really early this morning at a park while waiting for a business meeting to start. I even got harrassed by the cops, very funny story. Anyway, over on the blog I am posting shots of where else all my little brownies were this week!

01.13.10 - 13/365
This week has been tons of fun! Finding interesting places to take pictures of these little guys has required quite the imagination. And no this is not the inside of my refrigerator. It's the inside of one of the refrigerators at work (the culinary refrigerator, not the distributor refrigerator I should say). Anyway, my friend Natalie picked this location and also the location of the runner up spot for today. I'll post all the fun runner up places on my blog tomorrow. Just in case I want to use any of those spots for my remaining shot tomorrow so I'd hate to give it away!

01.11.10 - 11/365
In the past few weeks I have gotten four new (to me) brownie cameras. So this week unless something really cool pops up, I'll be photgraphing them all. I am going to attempt to stretch my imagination and come up with cool shots, but who knows how far that'll get me. This one is Holiday Flash model produced between 1954-62. I know this one is from before 1958 because of the brown body...and those are my rainboots. : )
01.10.10 - 10/365
The remainder of the snow that we got on Sunday. It made for a really slippery drive to work and then was basically gone by quiting time.

Our first snow of 2011. It was down and then gone in about two hours, but it was very pretty while it was falling!
01.08.10 - 8/365
Spent the day at my mother-in-laws doing a lot of nothing. I saw this leaf sitting on her ac unit and thought it looked pretty.
01.07.10 - 7/365
Am I the only person out there who numbers their cards so that they make sure to rotate them? Otherwise I was using the same card over and over again, but now I know which one goes next. Or I am a big dork. : )
01.06.10 - 6/365
I was just finishing up the Hunger Games Trilogy when I took this shot. They were all really good, but the second on "Catching Fire" was by far my favorite. I read it in one evening.
01.05.11 - 5/365
I may have eaten these models sometime after their photo was taken. I will say, they were quite tasty.

Jones Wedding - Part I

01.04.11 - 4/365
I just loved the clouds today. Caught this shot about twenty minutes before sunset. It looks like all the clouds are running away together. I wonder where they are going.
01.03.11 - 3/365
I had a thought while photographing a few of this year's Christmas presents that I never took a picture of this really cool gift that Ditz got last year from his dad. Isn't it cool?

One Little Word 2011
I started thinking of my word this year in early December. I narrowed it down to two, but they don't call it two little words so, I had to make a choice. And then about two weeks ago one word took the lead and left the other word in the dust. It was literally calling to be my word.
I know, I am dragging this out, but some of you may not be familiar with the one little word movement. It was started back in 2006 by Ali Edwards and has really just grown from there. She has a total way with words:
"A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow."
My 2011 word is DISCIPLINE.
At first I was sort of concerned that this might be a negative word, which is not what I wanted, but the more I thought about it the more I realized that this is a total positive word. I could use a little discipline in most areas of my life. Discipline to grow my business and not just the fun parts, the crappy business-y parts too. Discipline to eat better and exercise more. Discipline to do the things around the house that need to be done and not just melt my brain with TV as soon as I get home. Discipline to read more. Discipline to not keep EVERY photo, they aren't all winners. Discipline to do the things that I say I am going to do and the discipline to say no when I know I have no intention of doing it. This is going to be a harder word than my 2010 word, but I know that I can handle it!
I am also excited to by taking a year long one little word class over at Big Picture Classes. It's monthly project to keep my one little word focus. At the end of the year, I'll even have a scrapbook of my one little word projects, which is super fun! The gallery over there is starting to fill up with everyone's opening project. Basically, it's about your word..... and here is my homework:
