I know of at least three clients who would love to see this logo go out of their proofing websites. I am getting there, I promise! Being severly under the weather just did not help at all! And this picture is only in black and white because I could not get my white balance right in color. It was so weirdly lit in here tonight!

More Christmas gift shots today! I really wish I could get out from under this cold or whatever! Believe it or not, we did not own good mixing bowls until just now. These came from Aunt Karen and I can't wait to mix something up in them!
Part of the reason I wasn't around for a while was because I was sick with something bordering on the flu. The good news is that with Chirstmas just happening I was able to snap pictures of our gifts as photos of the day. This I got from my mother-in-law, I was actually with her when she bought it and I knew she was buying it for me. But the funny thing is that by the time Christmas rolled around I had completely forgotten about it so it was a surprise!
One of Ditz's favorite Christmas presents - a new weather station. It does wind, rain and temperature. However the little icon thing at the top os not so smart. It uses the humidity level, temperature, barometrice pressure and wind speed to determine what it "is" outside. I can garauntee you that on this day, it was NOT snowing. : )
A rousing game of cards played on Christmas Eve. This was one of three photos I took all day. I actually took this one with an iPhone app called Iris and I screwed around with it in there, I don't have the original picture to do anything differently with it now (and the others suck). Wonder why I thought this was cool just a week ago......
I hope you see what I was going for here. Blurred vision with the alcohol and stuff?? Or was it just me that thought this was neat? Ditz hated it, not the scotch mind you, just this picture. This was what we got my father-in-law for Christmas. It was half gone by the end of Christmas days. (Four boy drinking it, not just one).
So did you guys think I died? I think this is the longest I've gone without posting since my vacation in September! Anyway, I am alive and since I really have nothing good to say about this photo I guess it's best that I just say I am back. : )

This was part of Ditz's groomsmen gift. He got these really cool beers and a beer stein. However, I doubt the beer stein will ever actually have beer in it since Ditz immediatly put it up on the "special" shelf.

So, I really should have made my photo of the day one of Hunter and Ryan, but I have currently decided on this one. As you know from my POTD for 12.17.10, Hunter had sprained his ankle. Plus to top it off he was told that they were going to all stand there a smile for this shot. I had prearranged for the groomsmen to jump on three. This could not have been done more perfectly! And yes, that is my husband who hates being photographed jumping and being silly!
See that smiling guy in the hat? That's my brother-in-law. This was the day before his wedding and we were all at the ER. See he had decided the night before that he would play basketball and he hurt his ankle. They actually thought it was broken, but turns out it was just a sever sprain. He did get a nice boot to wear, should be super fun on his honeymoon.
So, tomorrow right after work I leave to shoot a wedding on Saturday. Tonight was spent packing and making lists, checking it twice. Here's just a portion of the crap that I am lugging with me.

On Monday night the girls and I enjoyed a Mavs game at the American Airlines Center. The seats were really amazing, 8 rows up. I got several good basketball type shots and people type shots, but this is my photo of the day. It's just my style and they way I like to photograph things. Let me tell you though. These things were annoying. The lady behind us kept hitting us with it and making all kinds of noise (you fold them up amd then hit things with them and they make noise).
Here's another day where I will hopefully get around to posting more shots!
It's secret santa time at the office. This is my "semi-homemade" gift for my person. Her favorite color is purple. Do you know how hard it is to find a purple flower to photograph in winter? She is also very religious, so I used a verse that she has on her desk to uber personalize it.
After we finished decorating the tree I decided it needed to be photographed. Then Ditz decided that it needed to be happy. Seriously. : )
I'll post a few more pictures from Saturday if I ever get a second to get them edited. Took lots of tree and ornament pictures! This is my mother-in-law's tree as we opted not to put one up this year due to our super busy schedules!

Tortured the dog a little today playing with a new toy (70-200 2.8IS, sucks it's just a rental). Sometimes he is willing other times he is not. Today was a willing day in that he didn't run away, but I was also further away from him than normal. PS - can you totally see me in his eyes?
Another photo for Katrina's class. We're making a starburst effect with the lights. I contemplated a lot of different things to go with my starburst (if I would have had starburst candy, I would have been all over that!). In the end, I went with one of my favorite inanimate objects, my brownies,. Aren't they cute?

Our ornament for 2010. I went with something ironic. It's a baking one and this was year we found out that my body doesn't tolerate gluten, so baking has been a bit of a chore for me! Oh, well, I'll pull through. I took this photo for Katrina's class over at get it scarpped. I'll try a better one tomorrow!
Fort Worth Botanic Garden. There were hundreds of families doing "Christmas Card" portraits. One Family posed around this statue AFTER they pulled these bushy things out of the ground and used them like feathers. I am pretty sure that the botanic garden frowns on that, but since I didn't do it, I figured it was ok to photograph
